What drove NXT to more success is basically pic related. Current era NXT is more colorful than the cheap as 2.0 logo. Packed with eye candy, interesting crazy stories and wild characters that aren't just blank slates for Vince to eventually wipe clean and put his own ideas on. They work with the talent to get them characters they are comfortable with but also push them not to be self-marks about their image.
Oh course having more of a revolving door with main roster talent coming in for visits and programs helps with the ratings. Having "new" faces from TNA come do cross over is of course a contributing factor in looking like a fresh new start for the brand but even if you took those a way it's a fun and entertaining show that's not worried about looking goofy while driving to better matches and better tv.
Shawn is BOTY 2024 and should have been BOTY 2023.
