I watch both WWE and AEW and I understand for the life of me how you would ever want Sasha Banks, one of the most boring women to come out of the "Women's Revolution" in WWE, as a big star or your ticket-selling announcement. Like, it's obvious that Okada's AEW-bound and I fucking hate that but it sells the tickets for Big Business
Sasha could show up on a random WWE PPV or whatever, she could've shown up in the rumble and I would've cared more about Naomi/Trinity's return. Sasha could've shown up on a Raw or Smackdown and I wouldn't care.
I'm not the only one who feels like this right?
Hell, Okada leaving NJPW was big news only because Okada was leaving NJPW, not because of him going anywhere else. It felt like everyone knew where he was gonna go anyway.
Shit like this is what deflates me. AEW's a really "safe" option for wrestlers to go, but they just got lost in the booking, the roster, they don't really try much at all. Okada's gonna show up in AEW, get shoved into a stable or something or be an occasional guy who maybe shows up once or twice every few months. Banks is going to be in the women's division lacking presentation and character which is only going to make her look worse.
