>>12333378So, finished the match - where was the supposed Shida botch? Luther? That was his mistiming, not Shida. The corner? Again, that was mistiming on both accounts.
Shida wasn't defeated clean at least, but how the fuck did the ref miss the tray? Also, you faggots are lying fuckers, there was absolutely a Holy Shida chant (albeit a muted one), a Holy Shida sign, and people wearing Shida shirts. So all the people saying she wasn't over, can choke on a dick - though Storm was the clear favourite for obvious reasons.
I think it's a testament to Shida that despite Tony Khan refusing to give her anything to work with, people still like her. Also, based Shida for taking down Toni's strap and slapping her. Actually, the entire crowd was quite muted for this match - which makes sense, considering it's a foregone conclusion who is going to win.
This was the problem with Shida's matches in general for this reign, no one ever believed that Emi Sakura, Willow, Abadon, or anyone else was going to beat Shida and since there was nothing they were working towards, her matches felt like a formality.
My biggest issue with this match was that it was a TV match. Both Shida and Storm are capable of so much more, but for both of them it honestly seemed like they were in "fuck it, let's get this over with."
The fact that the match wasn't even 10mins seems to show that as well.
>>12333748But what is Shida meant to do? The buck stops with Tony Khan and if he's decided to stick a ceiling on you and refuses to let you develop a character because he's pigeon-holed you, then what can you do? I agree she needs a shakeup, but the problem, and I honestly think this is the case for all the women in the division, is Tony Khan.
>>12333823I get what you mean, but I dunno. If it's getting her over and people are digging it, then all the best to Storm. I don't resent Toni Storm for her victory, I just resent the booking.
