The guy was by far the greatest performer & entertainer in the history of recorded music. He wasn't just "some good singer" like R. Kelly, he was a once-in-a-millenium legendary talent
Plus unlike R. Kelly there was no direct irrefutable evidence that he did it, just a lot of smoke in a "when there's smoke, there's fire" scenario
You can't expect people to 'cancel' a legend like him with no direct evidence and no conviction in a court of law, it's not gonna happen
