The need and hunger for McMahon era layered and often times chaotic storytelling comes from a very small vocal minority of people who are either hovering on the spectrum or have some sort of mental disorder or hyperactive deficiency syndrome much like McMahon did himself.
Basically, normies love this stuff. Hunter is a neurotypical and normie as well, they like basic structured risk adverse things because that’s how they have designed society to operate, if you want good storytelling then go elsewhere, because modern WWE is simply not for you and might never be again.
