There's not a single point where you question why Vince would call for a screwjob, you're not suddenly confused that Cena would prevent it (because he's the ultimate babyface, respect, honor, etc), you're not confused that Punk would take advantage of it, everything felt natural, even for some casual person who would be watching the match on its own. The commentary did a good job to make sure that the crowd was an outlier to most other reactions too, its why it works on a casual watch.
Even if you don't know anything about the story line, the match is easily like a 8/10, with the whole build up and context, its amazing.
