>>10186009Amy is awoken by the sound of her own snore, feeling a little discombobulated at waking up in an unfamiliar room, on an unfamiliar sofa and with an unfamiliar pair of legs across her lap she blinks a few times then looks left towards Colby who is fast asleep under a blanket. At some point during the fifth tape they must've both drifted off but it was nice to do something normal for a change.
Amy slides out from underneath Colby's legs then stands up and stretches, the tape in the machine had ended hours ago but had automatically rewound itself. She ejects the cassette, puts it back into its case then places it back onto the shelf in its correct location.
Unsure of what to do with herself and feeling like she might've outstayed her welcome Amy creeps towards the front door but stops when she notices a notepad and pen on the side. She takes the pen and quickly scribbles a note:
>Colby>thankyou for an awesome time>if you ever want to hang out again or if there's ever anything I can do for you please call me>my number is [redacted]>don't be a stranger>AmyShe places the note on the coffee table underneath Colby's phone and quietly leaves the apartment closing the door gently behind her. The morning Spaghettitown air is chilly and Amy wonders when she got into the habit of wearing a bra out in public, she crosses the street and admires her car - no broken windows, no dents, no scratches. It's rare that anything good happens in this town but in the simple joy of a shared interest two people experienced an evening of peace.
