Okay but what does that matter
Like, what does it matter if there was a shove between Jack and Punk and they put each other into a headlock?
What does showing this footage actually DO for AEW as a wrestling company? Because it hasn't done anything but make the collective discourse of them online be seen as a total joke.
If Tony Khan wanted to put himself in a position where he'd be looked at with a fonder look out of this entire situation then he should've been doing better work as a booker and owner of AEW after this entire inicident. This should've been a wakeup call for him to take responsibility, to get a fucking clue about how to run his company, about how to establish relationships with his talent.
He has failed to do this, he has not learned a single thing.
Showing footage did not help AEW, it did not help a feud, it just meant that Tony Khan was "right for firing Punk under normal workplace rules". But that means fucking nothing, this entire charade meant nothing.
People who don't like Punk will tell you this was a fucking terrible idea, people who like AEW, people who hate it, literally EVERYONE was saying this was a bad idea. You saw Taz and
Tony Schiavone look absolutely fed up and ashamed on Live TV.
I'm 99% Schiavone went to TK and said "this is a fucking stupid idea" and exactly like with Jack Perry leading up to the confrontation at All In, TK ignored him.
