Unironically if they had simply let Daniel Bryan win the Royal Rumble in 2015 and then let him job to Brock and Seth at Mania meanwhile letting Roman beat Rusev at Mania for the US Title and then waiting until Survivor Series or Mania the next year to put the belt on him, there wouldn't have been any backlash to his push and there wouldn't have had to spend half a decade desperately trying to get him over.
