I'm still disappointed that WWF didn't do more with the Funks when Vince brought them in '85 and parts of '86. I recall Terry and Dory teaming up, and their house show run facing Hogan and JYD. The crowds went crazy for it. There's footage of some of these shows on Peacock (MSG and Boston, I think).
I don't think they lasted more than a year there. Terry left and got replaced with the terrible imposter Jimmy Jack Funk, and the Dory/JJ team fell down the card and eventually out of the fed. Shame because Dory could still go and Terry had an amazing run with WCW in '89 so of course he could still go in '85 and '86.
