Even if AEW does fold, Tony has irreversibly fucked NJPW/the Indie scene so badly with his poaching, overpaying and mismanagement that smark wrestling won't be able to come back in any capacity, unless you think these people who are getting paid six figures and get to be on national TV every week are going to go wrestle for PWG and GCW for hotdogs and handshakes, I mean some marks like Darby probably would if he isn't dead in 3 years but there's a reason why Indie wrestling was the counterculture to the WWE's main culture, when you try to make a counterculture as universally widespread as the main culture it's not only going to be looked at with a more critical eye, including by people who have never seen it before and haven't learned all the little things you need to do in order to understand it, but it will also lose it's underdog indie edge that got its cult following to begin with
