>>5622922>>5622889>Starks vs Jungle BoyWow, what a treat. Tony once again spoiling us fans with this guaranteed classic. Starks has the modish aura that surrounds his archetypal workrate, making him the penultimate self-juxtaposition, only behind Kuniaki Kobayashi and his NWA/Japan dichotomous musings. Jungle Boy, while mainly specious, presents an axiomatic strength that will create a potential match of the decade here.
>Cole v HarwoodSomeone pinch me, I have to be dreaming, this match is unreal. On one hand, you have indie darling and mic specialist Adam Cole, who draws apt comparisons from Joshua Stroud of 1983 Mid South fame. Not the largest fighter, but my God he will ensure your demise with unrelenting attacks that will have opponents hearing a cacophony of Undisputed Era promos for weeks. Dax, probably the most technically sound worker since "Captain" Jack Curtis of the UWF. The menacing mustache is an excellent choice by Tony to conflict with Cole's heely action prose.
>Allin v DarbyOk, I'll make sure I go to the bathroom before Dynamite, because I don't want to miss a second of THIS! Hardy has been the grizzled high flying veteran ever since he landed in AEW, a description that would at one time only seem apt for El Hijo de Santo and his CMLL run. And Darby, wow, what a character. The type of character work that makes the audience yearn for the entire story, covet a triumphant finality to the simple antecedent: Darby.
>Storm v HayterPrceptualizing the phrase "women can do what the men can do," the strong style of Hayter and her inexorable attacks hit a brick wall of Storm's clandestine defense and unscrupulous counters. Buckle up.
>Punk v SilverTeary eyed as I type this. Tony sometimes gives us a match that can only be readily defined as 'once in a lifetime.' Punk, the straight edge assassin vs John Silver, a brutish pulverizer. Silver reminds me of the clairvoyant character Santiago in Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist (1988). Classic underdog story.
