Drake Younger definitely qualifies for KWABOTY. On the surface he might be remembered as just another referee, but it can't be understated how much stock the WWE put behind this guy. Not only was he entrusted to ref a bunch of high profile matches, but he was one of the key figures at the performance center. They would fly him out to all the international try-outs to help run things, as well as work several behind the scene roles during live events and television. Drake was basically being built up to be the next head referee for the company, a position that probably would have had a long tenure and would have seen him making good money for his whole family and retiring comfortably.
Now he's getting:
>a divorce and probably has to pay child support for five kids
>lost all his friends and anyone who genuinely cared about him
>relapsed and fell back into a serious drug addiction
>can only find work doing deathmatchs despite spending years prior trying to break that stigma around him and prove he was a capable and well-rounded wrestler
>broke his back and suffered three fractured vertebrae
Younger's fall from grace and wasted potential is almost worthy of a Dark Side Of The Ring episode. He went from reffing Wrestlemania main events, to bleeding in the middle of some disgusting rings in-front of a miniscule audiences.
