As someone who hasn't watched KUSHIDA in a fair bit it looks like he can still keep up, which was nice, but the match I saw was nothing special. I am (and I think NJPW is as well, somewhat) treating this as a bit of a break period before the G1 kicks off so I'm not all too upset about missing it. I'm struggling more with how I'll fill the thread, kek.
