The more I hear about how the business used to be run, the more anti competition it seams.

With all the stories I've heard about promoters stooging on outlaws, or wrestlers trying to kill or frame each other for exposing the business. It seems like the NWA was some shitty guild, that the government hadn't given the authority to arrest or kill those who practiced its trade without its permission. I personnaly believe the business getting exposed was a good thing, because it means people can now truly take advantage of the medium instead of religiously adhering to the whole "we gotta make this shit look real so the marks come back next week" bullshit. Hell, if you had started an outlaw promotion, back in the 70s, and pushed a proto-Kenny Omega as your top star. whoever ran the territory would've busted down your office door, with two of his boys, and said "Listen here mother fucker. I want you to take your outlaw mud show bullshit and get the hell outta my fuckn' town. Or else I'm gonna break your fuckn' legs and set fire to your car."
