Then they did the Raw after Wrestlemania. Lost it immediately. What do they do with it after? No title match at the next PPV. Instead, the Miz defeats Cesaro, Apollo Crews and it ends with Ziggler getting his FIFTH fucking reign.
I genuinely believe that from 2012 to 2021, the IC title might've been the worst title in WWE. It was booked like garbage and prior the Gunther, was not even on PPV. This moment could've been a turn around point.
The Miz having such a strangle on the IC title, along with Ziggler at the time killed it during the mid 2010s.
