>Hangman cuts a promo about what it takes to.be a champion, and how much of it is who you are when the cameras are off(continuing the trend of his feuds being about how people know the real CM Punk)>Throws in a line about workers rights that fit the promo>This line upset Punk, allegedly because he believed it jeopardized AEW's upcoming PPV gate/buyrate>Punk didn't address it in the ring>Punk didn't address it in the back>Punk didn't address it that week>Or that month>Or that spring>He waited 4 months, and still couldn't address it to Hangman>Instead he publicly and directly calls out Hangman in the one way that Page couldn't respond>This was also done in a way that could actually cost AEW money by burying a top Babyface that headlined many successful AEW shows>Then, three weeks later he's still so mad that he not only tries to bury Hangman again, he buries the EVPs(and thus the owner sitting right next to him), potentially costing AEW even more money>The EVPs approach Punk's locker room with the Head of Talent Relations and the Head of Legal in towFrom here we know that the Bucks either barged in, or came in, and that Punk threw a punch at Matt Jackson. This entire problem stems not from Hangman's comments, but from Punk's inability to deal with it quickly and calmly. If you replace Hangman and the EVPs with Peter Avalon and the Wingmen, you get the same result. If you replace CM Punk with Chris Jericho or Christian Cage, these events happen very differently.
