>What’s in his heart… On the 30th, Go Shiozaki (43) left Pro Wrestling NOAH upon the expiration of his contract and became a free agent. Immediately after the sudden noon announcement of his departure, Shiozaki gave an emergency interview at an undisclosed location, opening up about his complicated feelings. While expressing gratitude toward NOAH, his former home, he revealed the reasons that led him to make this decision. Where will the man who once again leaves the Ark head next?
>――NOAH just announced your departure…
>Shiozaki: In terms of a fresh start, I feel refreshed. I’m not retiring, so now I need to find the next ring to fight in. The sudden announcement may have left fans confused or worried, but my feeling is, “I hope they’ll look forward to what comes next.”
>――No regrets about the decision?
>Shiozaki: I think I’ve been able to switch my mindset. Honestly, you know… I left NOAH once, went to All Japan, then came back to NOAH, and now I’m leaving again… I know people will say a lot about that, and I’m prepared for it. Still, I know there are people who feel uneasy, worried, or confused by this. That’s why, in my next ring, I want to show a fight that blows all of that away.
>――How did your “Team NOAH” allies react?
>Shiozaki: Some said, “Don’t quit. Stay with us.” I truly believe my decision has caused trouble for the wrestlers and staff. But there was something within me—something I couldn’t compromise on. Even so, I believe that the “connections” made in the pro wrestling ring won’t be broken. That goes for the members of Team NOAH as well.
