How do you book a tournament with little to no emphasis on pre and post match promos? If I follow a sportsman that I like, I want to know how he feels about winning or losing, and get some insights on both how he handled the current situation and what his future plans are. Not even mentioning caring about a fictional context where you have to inform your audience on where this character is proverbially located in the grander scheme of things. The promos in the G1 can often be the highlight of the night at best, and at worst can be a decent piece of exposition.
