In 2010 Bryan, after years of wrestling for hot dogs on the indies, debuted in WWE NXT as The Miz's rookie.
However by the fall of 2010, Bryan has been fired by WWE for choking ring announcer Justin Roberts wit partner. By all account nobody wanted to wrestle with him and according to fellow NXT rookie Titus O'Neil:
