>>7278646In pretty much every promotion worldwide, 6 man tags are almost exclusively pointless filler matches. So when you make trios titles all you're doing is creating an entire division based on pointless filler matches. The only promotion that trios belts made sense in was Lucha Underground because they didn't have regular 2 man tag titles. The trios belts were their alternative to the traditional tag titles. In any other promotion, where they already have the standard tag team titles, it's completely redundant to introduce trios belts on top of that. Worst of all is when you have a promotion like AEW that had relatively prestigious tag titles at the start but slowly devalued them over time (like most of their belts), and instead of putting the shine back on the tag titles, they create a whole new trios division that they have to balance alongside it.
