This is because whenever there has been an "alternative" to the leading product in pro wrestling that alternative always mirrored the style of booking on the other show and vice versa. The only alternative is watching indies or Japanese/Mexican wrestling, the latter of which companies are both engaged in cold war booking with the major American companies anyways.
