>>10230195>>10226751Colby continues to watch Forbidden Allure, but from time to time, her thoughts return to M.Alice and what she's just seen, and she feels the anger and dread again.
The next three matches are exciting and enthralling too, but she doesn't feel another powerful emotional response until she sees her new friend Amy Flame make her entrance to take on the dastardly Kay Shiro. Colby has never been much of a Kay Shiro fan, especially when she came to the WWA and started randomly stripping competitors after their matches; she'd even woven some wire into her ring gear as an ultimately unnecessary precaution against being a victim of such an attack. But more importantly, she feels a real connection with Amy, and she's thrilled to see her competing in this match, getting an opportunity like this. That Amy appears to be limping and slightly lethargic does not reassure her. Then--
>"Oh, no, Amy, LOOKOUT...!"Walking into the Tiger Driver '98 was a terrible way to start the match. And yet Amy is tough, and she fights on. Colby watches from the edge of her seat, hope surging with each reversal and big move that Amy executes, wincing with concern each time Kay Shiro delivers some of her own punishing offense. In the end, when Amy screams and submits to the armbar, Colby deflates into the couch and moans.
>"Amy, no... n-not like this..."But there was undeniable honor and skill in her effort. With a deep breath, Colby picks up her phone.
Text Message (to Amy Flame):
>You fought really hard today, Amy.>I wish I could have been there to support you.>But I was watching, and I want you to know that, although this isn't the outcome you wanted, my respect for your toughness and ability has only grown.>You did great. ::flame emoji:: burning brighter than ever.>ColbyAs the show pauses for an intermission and information packages, Colby takes a deep breath. She has a lot on her mind.
