They have an endearing and well established bond between themselves, which is also linked very well with the audience. All you'd have to do is have a heel Drew cross paths with Heath on a seemingly random segment, have it devolve into an ugly fight where the valiant babyface Heath can hold his own yet lose to the scot madman, with Jinder intervening, being the glue that holds them together. Drew turns face, has the charming band backing him up, and for this time goes on a genuinely organic journey to get the title. Not just for himself, but to represent a generation of developmental talent that persevered. Why not have it culminate in a world title match against Gunther?
This shit would 10x more logical than anything else his character has been doing over the past few years. He's been too robotic, they have to inject a human element into his schtick (or into any part of the show really). Anything would be better than a feud with Seth.
