>Gothic punk submission: Kikyo Furusawa is "the type that doesn't exist in Stardom"
>Six new wrestlers have debuted at Stardom in the six months since November of last year. While there were individual differences in the timing of their debuts, all of the wrestlers who joined at the same time and passed the pro test earned the right to step into the ring without anyone dropping out. Matoi Hamabe, who is currently absent, was the first to debut, followed by Akira Kurogane, Yuria Hime, Anne Kanaya, Ema Maishima, and Kikyo Furusawa. Maishima and Furusawa appeared on the same day (May 21st at Korakuen Hall), but Maishima appeared in the first match and Furusawa in the second. This means that Furusawa was effectively the last of her class to debut.
>Furusawa is currently 21 years old and will soon be turning 22. She first encountered professional wrestling when she was in high school, so it wasn't that long ago. Her parents were fans, so she naturally started watching professional wrestling on TV.
>"My interest gradually grew, and after going to watch a match once, I was hooked. I think it was a New Japan Pro-Wrestling tournament in Shizuoka. I became a fan of Hirooki Goto on TV, and when I saw the actual match, SHO made a big impression on me. I thought professional wrestlers were even cooler in real life."
>Furusawa is from Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture. After becoming addicted to watching professional wrestling, she began going to events with her mother not only within the prefecture, but also to Korakuen Hall and Ota Ward General Gymnasium. She even went to almost every New Japan wrestling event in Shizuoka Prefecture in person. So why did she want to become a professional wrestler herself?
