I was groomed for a promotion last year after really good performance, then asked my salary expectation, then my boss called me exited and told me it was in the budget so if the budget was approved I was getting the promotion. then a week later I was told I actually wasn't getting it, and they were super vague on if they actually initially submited it to the budget like they said they did or not. anyways I asked too many questions and pissed them off and they let me go me shortly after.
