>Momo Watanabe achieved her long-awaited first victory at Stardom's midsummer league tournament, "5STAR GP 2025," which determines the strongest wrestler. In the first part, we talked about her victory in her ninth appearance, the most of any of the 32 contestants, and her encounter with Sareee. In the second part, we talked about her opponents in the final tournament, Saori Anou and AZM, as well as World of Stardom & STRONG Women's Double Champion Saya Kamitani, who will be competing in Ota Ward on November 3rd.
>On August 23rd, the Ota Ward tournament saw the final four of the 32 competitors in the "5STAR GP 2025" tournament semi-final. Momo Watanabe faced off against Saori Anou. The other semi-final match was AZM vs. Rina. All but Anou were home-grown wrestlers who have supported Stardom for the past few years.
>"I only encountered (Anou) at 5STAR, but other than that we hardly had any contact. I think we were aiming for different things. She was always aiming for the white (Wonder of Stardom), and I was aiming for the red (World Championship) and IWGP. To begin with, I didn't get the impression that we had many encounters with Cozuen (COSMIC ANGELS) either."
>After losing to Watanabe, Anou said, "I want to be Momo Watanabe's rival."
>"(Anou) has a weed-like feel to her. Despite her appearance, she's tough to hit, can break bats, and gets up quickly. She's also a strong hitter. Maybe it's because she's appeared in various organizations. (Regarding her comments about rivalry) She was fighting with Mika Iwata, right? When I saw that, I thought she was "someone who could create drama," but I'm not good at that kind of thing. I don't like the type who appeals to women with passion (laughs), so maybe our ways of thinking are completely different. She's good at microphone performances, but I don't want to do that kind of microphone performance.
