I thought so too but now I'm just having fun with AEW's downfall. Are they absolutely fucked? Yes. Are they doing some good stuff? Yeah, a little. If you enjoy the good parts of AEW while learning to just shake your head and laugh at the bad parts then watching them go down in flames becomes pretty kino.

Being an AEW fan goes like this: at first you think it's good but then the cracks begin to show, the bad decisions pile up, and slowly you begin to hate it. You keep watching because it can still occasionally be great and you hope beyond hope that Tony can still fix things. But the great moments get fewer and further between and the problems just grow worse. So eventually you realize it can't be saved and you begin to take joy in its failures and joy in shitting on it because that's the only way left to derive any joy from it at all. In other words, if you watch AEW for long enough you will inevitably begin to despise it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but one day you'll get there.
