I started watching WWE again this past WM after 15 years away. I'm the stereotypical lapsed viewer but I've watched every RAW/SmackDown since then.
Highlights:
>Alpha Academy
>Gunther having a good match with everybody
>Damage Ctrl falling their way to the top
>Finn Balor's meltdown and in-ring work
>This board's aggressively retarded memes
>Ricochet doing the Star Man kick
>Ring announcer's funny pronunciations
>L.A.Knight / The Miz promo. This was the single best promo so far.
>Wade Barrett and Michael Cole being great together on commentary
>Trish Stratus being an absolute bitch
>Sinsuke Nakamura's I know about your back promo
Lowlights:
>Crowd chants
>Entrance themes being way more over than the wrestlers
>Wrestler goes to the corner, squats, does jazz hands, eyes rolling wildly, bouncing in place, shaking their head, tongue wagging, telegraph-maxxing their finisher like a retard every time. Who started this crap?
>New sports entertainment language like "knock off" instead of "beat"
>Cameras cutting away so you can't see the impacts
>At least half of the matches with title-holders are non-title without this being announced beforehand
>Bloodline segments/matches. It got old fast.
>Seth Rollins' shitty Billy Graham impression
Best PLE so far: Money in the Bank
Finishers over with me: Chad Gable's German and Bronson's Reed's off the top splash
Gonna keep watching for now but it feels like they're still doing the "let's bury guys who get over on their own" thing, which makes me lose faith in the product and kills my excitement when literally anyone starts to get over. If I stop watching again, probably that's why.
