With all the hype around CMLL working with AEW, as well as a partnership with Stardom being a possibility now with Rossy gone, could all the companies in the AEW/NJPW sphere come together under one governing body that loosely regulates them, similar to how the NWA did during the territory era? Like would it be possible if AEW, ROH, NJPW, Stardom, and CMLL continued operations as usual, but they all recognized one men's and one women's world champion sanctioned by the governing body (let's just call it the Global Wrestling Alliance)? The GWA would be mostly hands-off, but they would have the power to rein in promotions if necessary, to prevent poaching or burial of talent. Of course, it would have to be headquartered in a neutral territory, say for instance Canada or the UK, to prevent one promotion gaining too much influence. Could something like this work in the modern era?
