>women's rumble
i don't watch women's sports.
>fatal four-way
the most popular guy in the ring and current champion won after a near-pin from the contrarian pick, who could have seen this coming? the ending being uneventful was actually to the benefit of the match since it obfuscated how mediocre the actual match was. it also felt like the manlet was only in the match to take all the hits? they kept picking on him. why didn't the other non-boomer take any hits? i understand the fat champion returning from injury and the juiced geriatric not wanting to take the damage since they're the big names.
>youtuber vs. chubby
maybe i have plebian tastes and only appreciate the "flashy" stuff but this match was the most entertaining of the ones i watched. you could see the damage, both wrestlers were vocal to insert a little narrative, both wrestlers are putting on a spectacle, and the conclusion was on the nose/for the audience. the fact that a youtuber with minimal experience (against a nobody? is the chubby guy a big name?) is stealing the second biggest show of the year is an awful sign for the future of this thing. the talent pool must be barren, an idea suggested by the fatal four-way's two big names being two older wrestlers.
>men's rumble
the florida crowd is to blame for some of this but it looked like a mess. the announcer fake-out was cringe but the bumbling aloof that believed it to be a tag-team match hit, it was possibly the only thing that did. i turned it off once #30 came in and it seemed like the entire crowd deflated (even more than they were, i didn't know it would be possible) so perhaps it ended well? i wasn't invested enough to see it through; the first hour did not entice.
all-in-all i'd say that janel won.
