I definitely find among Gen X and older, there's this hugely overwhelming sentiment that people shouldn't just get on social media and say whatever they want, people should be arrested for abusive messages etc, which is especially weird because they were the generation that made the most money on "fuck the power", shock jock, car crash media. Are people just massive faggots that revel in dishing out but not receiving an ounce of criticism in general?
I can just about tolerate the extreme sterility in modern media, because it was inevitable that corporations would sink their talons into the internet and sanitize everything, but the degree of fragility with these celebrities who can wipe their asses with $100 bills is insane.
