Watanabe Momo is a wrestler who is in demand both inside and outside of Stardom, despite being part of the heel unit HATE. This year marks the 10th anniversary of her debut, and she has certainly left her mark, being entrusted with main events on major stages not only in Japan but also overseas. We spoke to Watanabe about her 10th year as a Stardom native. (Interview and text by Hashiba Ryogo)
Momo Watanabe currently holds the Tekla and Goddess of Stardom titles, but how do the two younger wrestlers, Ryuuka and Rina, look to the HATE crowd?
>"I think I could team up with any member of HATE. Natsuko took part in the tag league last year, and Kamitani and Konami are both ex-QQ wrestlers. I was really confident when I teamed up with Ryuka at Sendai Joshi Wrestling (September 27th, Shinjuku tournament) the other day. As a result, I got my revenge on DASH's Chisako (see below). I don't often team up with Rina, but she's a technician type, so I think it would be a great fit. Rina has an incredible sense of responsibility now, she's really grown."
