if you wanted the Rock to wrestle Roman, you should have had him win the Royal Rumble
or you should have had Phil or someone win the Rumble and challenged Seth, leaving Roman free
instead they had Cody win, telegraphed him challenging Roman and then not challenge him because ????
it makes zero sense in storyline, there's zero justification for why he would willingly step aside like this
it completely buries the guy who's the actual face of the company who is actually drawing for WWE, selling tickets and merchandise. Roman isn't doing house shows, he's not doing TV and he barely even does PLEs at this point. Dwayne's monkey ass hasn't wrestled in 10 years, he's using this shit as his retirement match. You think he's gonna be working TV tapings and house shows?
Wrestlemania is going to break records regardless of who is on the card, it doesn't need X Y or Z to draw attention to it. What it needs is to get people over when all those eyes are on it so that they have shit that's interesting and draws money over the course of the next year.
