They wore cool trenchcoats, had an edgy young angsty vibe, and looked like typical teenage white boys. A dorky asian incel like Cho was just ridiculed and mocked for being a loser. I also remember some boomers on talk radio shows talking about "this is the problem with these immigrants" regarding Cho's Korean background. The Colombine guys are revered because they were white American heartland boys who were more normal looking. The overall sentiment was more "How can they do it? It doesn't make sense" Meanwhile when asians commit mass shootings, it is more like "Oh wow, another racial minority acting violent, these chinks and gooks are very cold blooded and evil!" Whites are accepted, asians are not. Race is THE number one factor in American social discussions and political narratives.
