>>9744921I just watched the hour broadway between Curt Hennig and Nick Bockwinkel from AWA last night and was more engrossed by that than I am by most modern main events (I follow NJPW and (begrudgingly) AEW) so I'd return the entire industry to silver age boomer grapplekino. Maybe I'm just learning that I'm a sucker for that type of match; Inoki vs Robinson and Inoki vs Fujinami are also two of my favorite matches. The business would be in a better place if people started understanding the concept of diminishing returns and focused on teaching people how to keep an audience on the edge of their seats with a headscissors or a knee bar rather than doing Canadian destroyers off of ladders through four tables. Bollocks to strong style; long live Sabreism (I know ZSJ doesn't work identically to Billy Robinson and Lou Thesz, but close enough.)
