That's how Japanese workers like Tiger Mask, Antonio Inoki, and Tatsumi Fujinami appeared in Madison Square Garden at WWF events and WWF workers like Hulk Hogan, Andre, Backlund, and Bruno appeared at Japanese events.
Vince ended the program eventually, but even as late as 1990, the WWF, AJPW, and NJPW co-promoted an event at the Tokyo Dome, the Wrestling Summit.
