When a veteran wrestler botches a move, if he has a clue, he will think on the fly and add the botch to the story of the match. If he's still a shitter, you will see them pause and then try to repeat the spot. Ryback always did that, Roman did that against Taker, and Charlotte did it with Sasha aswell.
In AEW you see them botch, veterans like Bryan or Punk work around it. Bryan got his leg stuck in the ramp? He called and audible and said "work the leg". It's something every wrestler should do.
