>>15000454My issue with Swerve as AEW champion is that it happened too quickly. Swerve was comfortably in the midcard with Swerve in Our Glory, edging a tweener persona next to Keifly's Face. The split up program was fine (was it interrupted due to injury?) around that time Swerve started bulking, think he said he gained 30 lbs in a few months? trying to get into the upper card. Didn't help that they initially paired Swerve with Parker, but Mogul whatever Swerve had a real look and potential. He then floundered in the Continental Classic to have a pretty good feud with Hangman that doesn't make sense anymore as Swerve is a face, Then he got the title off of Joe to little fanfare.
Just feels like he should have held a midcard title or something to establish himself as moving up the card before he just.. got the AEW title.bro really pushed himself to get to the upper card and it doesn't feel like they had much for him.
also, whoever books ROH pushes the fuck out of Athena/Ember Moon and its usually better than dynamite.
