BIG DEAL! Talk about thin skin on Punk's part.
It should be noted Punk never came to MJF's defense when he got into hot water with Tony. It should also be noted Punk complained that The Rock and Cena were holding his top spot back. Yet here he is, invading AEW and taking the World Title from Hangman. Punk also went over all the young talent he was paying lip service to.
According to Punk, Hangman said the "workers rights" line was about Punk getting Colt fired or demoted. He had to ask him. In other words, he thought Page's "workers rights" line was talking about something else besides Colt.
Instead he goes all Randy Savage and gets paranoid, and tells Tony he can't trust Page in their title match. Sure enough he was defensive the whole match and allegedly Page chipped his tooth anyway. Keep in mind, it was Punk who botched the Buckshot Lariat.
Punk then practiced his brand of "two wrongs make a right" by calling out Page on TV knowing he would not come out.
And then he still didn't stop, as he buried Page at the media scrum, and continued to open up the wounds in the ESPN interview and but claims to want to move on. Punk is still upset "nothing happened" to Page (suspension, punishment, forgiveness, etc.).
The Elite are victims here, and Punk is gaslighting them by convincing everyone he was the victim. Punk never apologized to Colt Cabana or his mother. He never had a sit down with Page.
If anyone is really to blame, it's Tony Khan for letting this spiral out of control.
