My best guess is that if AEW fucks him over or if he's just tired of it, he'll take the Cody contract and have a short run in the WWE. However, it's pretty much a done deal that he'll retire in Japan with Ibushi. And yeah, he hasn't really been at his full potential in AEW because he's been working injured. This shit goes as far back as getting vertigo after his IWGP match with Ishii. I think he'll be much better when he returns though. Hopefully.
