Now imagine some rival promotion pops up and threatens WWE. The very product you spent money on and wasted your Friday and Monday nights with. That product is no longer "cool" by default because there is another product out there for others choose. So WWE die hards defend it not because WWE is better, they are defending the fact that they invested so much into WWE that they don't want it to end up being a stupid life choice. So as long as WWE is on Top of the Wrestling industry it makes them feel better about themselves. They are in to deep. Would probably kill themselves if WWE ever went out of business.
