I've been rewatching the Attitude Era on the network. I haven't watched some of this stuff since I was a kid, but I think at some point contrarians convinced me that it was overrated and dated, but it actually holds up and blows the current product out of the water.

Compare any Attitude Era Raw to last night's Raw which will not be remembered, neither will anyone featured on it. Why is it so hard to make an entertaining wrestling show now? It all seems bland and by-the-numbers, from AEW to NJPW to WWE. Is it that lack of star power, lazy writing, creative castration by PG Era, or a combination?
