With Triple H being forcibly moved down the WWE totem poll due to NXT's failure and personal health issues, and Cody being brought back into the company, I think there's a huge chance that Cody is ultimately given an executive position within WWE assuming his first 6-12 months go well.
>Vince has to realize that Cody was able to find success with younger audiences in ways that he couldn't.
>He comes from a legendary wrestling family, and has obviously expressed interest in being involved in the business past the degree of a common wrestler.
>He took a risk in leaving to make himself something more, something that's repeatedly been shown to gain huge respect with Vince.
A lot of what's gone right for AEW can be attributed to Tony Khan, but in Vince's eye this is him "stealing" away a piece of the AEW puzzle. In business, when you hire a top executive from one of your major competitors, you're viewing them as not only a good fit for your company but as a way to take what they've done elsewhere and apply it to your own brand. Vince most likely sees bringing in Cody as a way to undo some of the mistakes he made with the executive power given to Triple H. This Cody experiment will be one hell of a ride.
