They grow up in dual income, or single parent households with no parental guidance or accountability, by parents who have been told that any discipline is child abuse. They face absolutely zero criticism in any aspect of their lives, whether in real life or online, because bullying or unacceptance in schools is treated as if the perpetrator is a mass murderer now, and they are taught that all online criticism is done by hateful trolls. Most are raised by tablets and phones that allow them to seclude themselves to a virtual hugbox of people who think, act, and believe exactly the same thing they do, and reinforce their belief that anyone who doesn't is "toxic." Their entire life is filled with instant gratification with zero effort, or requirement necessary to achieve it, even down to the most basic things that every other previous generation grew to accept like missing the airing of a favorite TV show because they were busy. The mentality difference between someone born in 1990 and someone born in 2000 is the greatest it's ever been in human history, and this is literally just going to be the new normal from now on.
