And similarly, you can read Shibata vs. Okada at Sakura Genesis in a similar way. You can immediately tell that Shibata is the underdog that the crowd favors, you can tell that Okada is the golden god champion who, while arrogant, is perfectly capable when it comes to backing it up and will even resort to heelish tactics to pursue an advantage. Etc, etc.
Both perfectly valid forms of entertainment and storytelling.
