>>13322626>>13322782The problem with Charlotte is that in 2018, she was promised the main event of Wrestlemania 35 between herself and Rousey. That's fine. Rousey is a huge star. Charlotte was at the time probably the biggest star in their women's division, she had just beaten Asuka, Sasha was just puttering around the midcard and Bayley's character had been totally derailed by booking and injury.
The problem is, Becky got more over than her. To the point where they could not deny that Becky vs. Rousey needed to be the main event of Mania, so they put Becky into the match and made it a 3-way. And then ESPN called Charlotte Ric Flair's daughter and it completely fucking destroyed her brain. And ever since then, she's been doing this shit where she just shows up, gets the title, fucks around until she's hurt or drops it and leaves until she comes back to get the title again, she doesn't sell for anybody, she constantly goes into business for herself and she hasn't drawn a ticket or popped a quarter in years.
She's gonna keep getting pushed and keep getting meaningless title reigns and keep collecting paychecks, but unless she significantly changes her approach, she's just gonna go down as somebody who never really mattered for business, never really had the matches or stories at the level of her push or at the level of her peers and just be someone whose own ego tanked her career.
