Instead of wrestling evolving to a more contemporary style, like Goldberg, Samoa Joe or even someone like Low Ki, wrestling just kept trying to reenact the spots they saw when the autistic theatre kids who are wrestlers now saw growing up, and the spots make absolutely no sense if you don't have the same context they do. He got dropped on his head, but he didn't get dropped on his head with his hand behind his back, so it doesn't count.
Remember the The Mask cartoon? It was just a shittier version of Looney Tunes gags without the care, emotion or cultural context of the spots. Wrestling today is like that.
