not even 2 years in the biz yet, but every opportunity they've given her so far she's knocked out of the park.
in the battle royal the other day, she was the only girl that got mid-match chants from the audience, and several sets of them. do you know how hard that is for a white person to do with the NXT crowd? she made it to the final 4 and was made to look extremely strong. she got at least 3 eliminations (both iiconics and at least one other girl), maybe more that i don't remember. they didn't even have kali armstrong, who they're also hot on and book like a demon, look that good.
she previously had the best lvl up match vs TMS, now she has the best evolve match vs kali.
this could sound crazy but i think evolve was made just as a showcase for her, or at least showing her off and building her up was an essential priority in its creative until this point. she's the central wrestler on the logo. she got the first pin in the series’ first match. they obviously strapped up kali as the inaugural champion, but i think the primary purpose of that was to build a monster heel specifically for kendal to take down as a feel good payoff moment to the main story of the show.
she's got the look. she's got the real shooter cred background. she's got the moves and can already work better than some main roster wrestlers despite being in pre-developmental. she wrestles in the based style of technical wrestling that is actually fun to watch ala angle/gable/benoit, not the cringe boring style ala danielson/ZSJ.
if she gets the mic work down i think she has real potential to be made the face of the women in the future. perhaps more than any other young/20-something girl on the roster right now besides rhea (and rhea is already at the top anyway).
