I am of the belief that with reports of SmackDown and RAW(again) going for three hours, the addition of a Women's US Championship and probability and possibility of an Intercontinental equivalent, this is what WWE is gearing up for.
It makes sense that the current women's roster is pretty big, alongside some Legends, a Battle Royal, and championship matches, I wouldn't put it past WWE to make it happen again.
I also see the potential for WWE to market their belts for women's collegiate and professional sports like they do with the other leagues for brand recognition and all that.
